Is it tacky to rave about your own product? If it is, then I apologize. However, I can't help myself. This wool is absolutely fabulous to spin. Soft, fluffy, easy to draft. I don't think I'll be able to spin anything else from now on. Seriously. Now I have no idea what I'm going to do with all of the various rovings I have stashed in my studio.
The big seller for me on this roving? Being easy to draft. For those of you who aren't spinners, drafting is essentially pulling on the wool with your fingers - in as even a tension as possible -while you spin the wheel. Since I have "gimpy" hands/fingers (due to two hand surgeries), this is very important to me. Wool that is really "sticky" or hard to draft leaves me aching for days.
Here are some photos of what I have spun so far. Please note that the roving is a cream color. The blue and green in the photo is the yarn that I attach the roving to in order to start spinning. Someday I'm going to purchase a Wooleewinder...so that my bobbin will be more evenly spun. As you can see, I tend to forget to move the yarn up and down the hooks as I spin, so it is very uneven. Definitely an advanced spinners nightmare! :)

Sooo... my yarn will look magically this nice and even when I spin my babydoll wool??? Looks fabulous, I guess I need to get down to it!

Cynthia: I'd be surprised if it didn't! I'm by no means an expert or accomplished spinner. This wool just spins up so nicely!! :)
I just got my roving! Michelle, I love the pkging! I did pull a little off & it is so springy. I can't wait to get my other roving off my spindle & start this one. Now the trick is to get it as thin as posible. I would love to make colorwork mittens with this.
