The "Bachelor" Pad

Poor Tigger and Bud....Kirk completed the new pen on Saturday, so we were able to remove the boys from the flock. Hopefully this isn't a matter of too-little-too-late, as we certainly don't want any January lambs! The first day there was a lot of baaaing going on - but I think it was mostly because the girls were upset because "HEY! The BOYS got to go OUTSIDE of the pen!" Things are much calmer today...and I even let the girls (all four of them) out of the pen to do a little weed eating and mowing of the lawn. For those of you who don't know sheep behavior, this is no big deal. To get them back in the pen, all it took was a couple shakes of the grain can and a "Here Sheep, Sheep!" However, it would have been a TOTALLY different story had we let the donkeys out without a halter or lead rope around their neck. The time Hayley accidentally let them out of the pen they took off up the driveway and down the road like they were on a mission!
